A free author lecture series showcasing new voices and fostering vital conversations

All Talk of the Stacks events are free and open to the public. Programs begin at 7 p.m. Until further notice, Talk of the Stacks events will continue as virtual events only. Please visit individual event pages for free Zoom event registration.

When in-person events resume, Talk of the Stacks will continue to take place at Hennepin County Library - Minneapolis Central in Pohlad Hall. For these events, doors open at 6:15 p.m. for general admission seating.

Every period in time had conversations that shaped society and steered the national consciousness toward the future. The local and national authors that grace the Talk of the Stacks stage are some of the foremost voices in these conversations that push our society forward. This free lecture series creates space for honest, open, and meaningful dialogues about the most pressing topics of our time.
