Library service has been available to the Eden Prairie and west Bloomington community since 1924, when the first library in Eden Prairie opened in the new Consolidated School. After the library building’s closing in 1950, the community was served by the Hennepin County Library bookmobile until 1973, followed by a reading center until the opening of a community library in 1986. Eden Prairie Library moved to its current location in 2004, a major building renovation was completed in 2020.
