Northeast Library, located in the heart of a thriving arts district and busy commercial area, serves the northeast Minneapolis community. Opened in 1973, this library was fully renovated in 2011. Previously, area residents were served by libraries at 24th and Central Avenues (1907-1915) and 22nd and Central Avenues (1915-1973.)

Friends of Northeast Library

Friends of Northeast Library is a volunteer-run organization whose mission is to support the Northeast Library and uplift the spirit of the surrounding community. As ambassadors for the library, Friends of Northeast Library members advocate for community needs and help promote library programs and services.
