In 1913, the Village of St. Louis Park voted to establish a public library and reading rooms in a location on Walker Street. In the following year, the library moved to Central Junior High School, where it remained for more than 40 years. In 1960, the library was relocated to Paul Revere Masonic Temple. In 1968, St. Louis Park Library opened in its first free-standing location in a residential neighborhood near St. Louis Park High School. The building was renovated in 2014.

Friends of St. Louis Park Library

Friends of St. Louis Park Library is a volunteer-run organization whose mission is to support the St. Louis Park Library and uplift the spirit of the surrounding community. As ambassadors for the library, Friends of St. Louis Park Library members advocate for community needs and help promote library programs and services.
