Downloadable eBooks at the Library
Beginning July 19, customers can check out and download eBooks in the EPUB format through the Library’s website at www.hclib.org. Instead of being printed onto paper and bound into books, the text is formatted into a digital file, which can be read with a special eBook reader, computer or other electronic device. Hennepin County Library is the first public library in the Twin Cities metro area to offer this format. This pilot program offers approximately 700 titles available for download.

New Slate of Childish Films Events Announced
The Library Foundation of Hennepin County is pleased to announce our plans to continue our popular Childish Films at the Minneapolis Central Library and expand film programming to the Southdale, Brookdale and Ridgedale libraries later this season. Childish Films @ the Library, a program of children's cinema and arts for ages 3 and up, is presented by Deb Girdwood and Isabelle Harder, children's film curators for the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival.
