Hopkins Library was established more than 100 years ago within Hopkins City Hall before moving to the historic Dow House in 1948 and then temporarily to a vacant restaurant in 1963. The library opened at its current location in 1968, with building renovations occurring in 2002 and 2015.

Friends of Hopkins Library

Friends of Hopkins Library is a volunteer-run organization whose mission is to support the Hopkins Library and uplift the spirit of the surrounding community. As ambassadors for the library, Friends of Hopkins Library members advocate for community needs and help promote library programs and services.
