Edina Library was first housed within the Linden Hills School beginning in 1921. Throughout the decades that followed, the library operated out of various community locations. Its first permanent location opened in 1968 on West 50th Street. In 2002, Edina Library moved to its current location, which is shared with the Edina Senior Center.

Friends of Edina Library

Friends of Edina Library is a volunteer-run organization whose mission is to support the Edina Library and uplift the spirit of the surrounding community. As ambassadors for the library, Friends of Edina Library members advocate for community needs and help promote library programs and services.
