Why It Matters
"Whether it’s learning to tell time, work on a science fair project … or practice for a spelling test, Homework Help is the kitchen table around which we all gather."
- Susan Gray, Homework Help tutor

The One-to-One Tutoring Difference
Many Homework Help participants describe feeling invisible in their schools. While maintaining a positive attitude towards learning and being motivated to do well, they report feeling that their struggles went unnoticed, often due to limited English skills or a cultural reluctance to ask for help.
Students say that the personal attention they receive from Homework Help tutors, who help them understand core concepts in a safe and welcoming environment, is a key contributing factor to their overall academic performance.
“Staff continue to see Súper Kínder families attending other programs, or just visiting and checking out books, even years after they completed the program. Many of the Súper Kínder families become regular users.”
- Marcela Sanchez, former Spanish Liaison and teacher for Súper Kínder
