DONATE AND JOIN

There has never been a more important time to support the united Library Foundation of Hennepin County, or to increase your involvement if you are already a contributor.

Nationwide, the demand for library services, open access to books and computers, educational opportunities that support lifelong learning, and free public meeting spaces is continuing to rise. From toddlers to teens, new immigrants to new entrepreneurs, people are flocking to their libraries.

With your support, this year the Foundation will help our Library:

  • Purchase new books, materials, and technology for libraries;
  • Support essential programs that serve the unique needs of teens, families, immigrants, and small business owners;
  • Sponsor the Summer Reading, Homework Hub, and Guys Read programs serving over 19,000 students; and
  • Host more than 75 programs including the Pen Pals author series and the free series, Talk of the Stacks, The People’s University, Childish Films, and more.

The Hennepin County Library is one of the best in the country, serving more than 1.1 million patrons at 41 locations with 5 million books. It was ranked 4th in a recent national library review and received the highest rating of 5 stars by the Library Journal. The strength of any library is based on its support in the community.

There is no substitute for an exceptional Library, and nothing more satisfying than keeping ours strong!
