TRIBUTE GIFTS
A gift to the Library Foundation of Hennepin County’s Tribute Program is a special way to honor or thank a person in your life, remember a loved one, or commemorate a birth, marriage, anniversary, or other special event. Income from the Tribute Program helps the Foundation to purchase thousands of Library books and support hundreds of outreach programs every year for the community to enjoy!

Celebrate a special event or pay tribute to someone close to you by making a gift to the Tribute Program of the Library Foundation of Hennepin County. Donations can be made by an individual, a group, or a company. Tribute gifts are recognized with a customized bookplate in a Hennepin County Library book and noted in Library Foundation publications.
There are two giving options when making a tribute gift:
One-Time Tributes
For every $50 donated, our librarians place a bookplate inside the front cover of a hardcover book inscribed with the donor’s name and the person or event honored/remembered.
Forever Tributes
Gifts of $500 or more will help purchase of a book each year in perpetuity. For every $500 donated, a bookplate inscribed with a
special message or wording of your choice will be placed annually in a Library book in recognition of your exceptional gift.

For both forever and one-time tribute donations, The Library Foundation will send a letter and a sample of the bookplate to the honoree or family acknowledging your contribution.
You, as the donor, will also receive an official acknowledgement from the Library Foundation for tax purposes.
