Talk of the Stacks with Amy Tan

Amy Tan is the bestselling author of seven novels (including The Joy Luck Club and The Bonesetter’s Daughter), a memoir and two children’s books. Contributor to countless collections and magazines, Tan also co-wrote and co-produced the film version of The Joy Luck Club and worked on the Emmy-nominated children’s TV series, Sagwa. Her latest book, The Valley of Amazement, will be her first published novel in almost ten years. Spanning fifty years and two continents, The Valley of Amazement is a deeply moving narrative of family secrets, the legacy of trauma and the profound connections between mothers and daughters.

Talk of the Stacks is a reading series exploring contemporary literature and culture. Programs are free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served. Programs begin at 7 pm. Doors open at 6:15 pm. Books are available for sale and signing. Signings follow lectures.
