Enjoy a performance by String Circus and celebrate the season finale of Childish Films with a selected program of the best short
films for ages 3+ from the Minneapolis- St. Paul International Film Festival. The films to be shown are:

One day Leo screams and screams and screams. His Dad takes him shopping, and so the journey begins through the aisles and high above the sky. A stop-motion animated film made entirely in cardboard and paint.

Pig does everything he can to protect his town. He works tirelessly to make sure the windmill keeps turning to power a dam that holds back threatening clouds of darkness. Rushing back and forth to school, Pig feels under-appreciated. Everything begins to change when Fox, a new classmate, joins Pig’s class. This short film by Pixar artists blends traditional hand-drawn animation with digital painting techniques to tell a sweet story of the power of friendship to keep things light.

Doors open at 10 am for seating, snacks, and hands-on activities. Live pre-show performances begin at 10:30 am.

Childish Films @ the Library is a free program of children’s cinema and arts for all ages. Each screening features a pre-show activity, an educational introduction, and complimentary healthy snacks. Admission is free with open seating to the public. Most films are best enjoyed by ages 3 and older, but children and people of all ages are welcome to attend. If you have specific questions about the content of a particular film, please e-mail our curators. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
