The Dam Keeper

Pig does everything he can to protect his town. He works tirelessly to make sure the windmill keeps turning to power a dam that holds back threatening clouds of darkness. Rushing back and forth to school, Pig feels under-appreciated. Everything begins to change when Fox, a new classmate, joins Pig’s class. This short film by Pixar artists blends traditional hand-drawn animation with digital painting techniques to tell a sweet story of the power of friendship to keep things light.

Childish Films @ the Library is a free program of children’s cinema and arts for all ages. Each screening features a pre-show activity, an educational introduction, and complimentary healthy snacks. Admission is free with open seating to the public. Most films are best enjoyed by ages 3 and older, but children and people of all ages are welcome to attend.
