Friends of the Hennepin County Library is an independent, private, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. The primary role of the 32-member governing board is to ensure that the organization carries out its fiduciary responsibilities and that the financial, legal, and administrative activities are conducted in an appropriate manner. Friends of the Hennepin County Library practices the highest standards of accounting and donor stewardship.
