Best Practice Financial Reporting
The Library Foundation of Hennepin County is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization with a history tracing back to 1949 with the creation of The Friends of the Minneapolis Public Library. The primary role of the 32-member governing board is to ensure that the organization carries out its fiduciary responsibilities and that the financial, legal, and administrative activities are conducted in an appropriate manner. The Library Foundation of Hennepin County practices the highest standards of accounting and donor stewardship.
