Acclaimed Chef/author Gabrielle Hamilton Comes to Talk of the Stacks

Talk of the Stacks, a free author series exploring contemporary literature and culture, will host the chef/owner of Prune restaurant of NYC, Gabrielle Hamilton, presenting her memoir, Blood, Bones & Butter: The Inadvertent Education of a Reluctant Chef.

Gabrielle Hamilton is the chef/owner of Prune restaurant in New York’s East Village. She received an MFA in fiction writing from the University of Michigan, and her work has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, GQ, Bon Appétit, Saveur, and Food & Wine. She has appeared on The Martha Stewart Show and the Food Network, among other television programs. Her memoir, Blood, Bones & Butter, is an unflinching and lyrical memoir about her unconventional journey as a cook for the last twenty years.

Held at the Minneapolis Central Library in Pohlad Hall (300 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55401), the program is free and open to the public. Book sale/signing follows the presentation. Seating is first come, first served. Doors open at 6:15 PM and program begins at 7 PM.
