Members of the Friends of the Minneapolis Central Library volunteered at the Family History Fair, held on October 22, 2011 at the Minneapolis Central Library. Visitors could browse ethnic and special interest tables, connect with genealogy experts, learn how to start a family history, tour the library’s genealogy resources, and attend information sessions. Over two hundred people attended the Family History Fair, and the Minneapolis Central Friends were there to greet visitors and answer questions. The event was sponsored by the Friends of the Minneapolis Central Library in collaboration with the Minnesota Genealogical Society and One Minneapolis, One Read.
