You’re invited to celebrate the grand opening of the newly-renovated Northeast Library (2200 Central Ave. NE, Minneapolis) on Saturday, April 2, 2011. The building is now 16% larger and has been transformed for the best. Improvements include more computers, furnishings, large windows, and energy-efficient features.

Festivities commence at 9:45 am. with remarks from community leaders and a ribbon cutting ceremony. The fun continues with live music, a scavenger hunt, and Minnesota Twins mascot TC Bear. Complete details are found in Hennepin County Library’s press release.

The Friends of Northeast Library will play an important role in the celebration. Don’t miss their information table for free book bags and bookmarks!
